In this post, we will be seeing the outline of three of a lot of activities we performed in the classroom. These three are the ones that I remember the most.
Monster drawing
First: make pairs with another student
Second: Ss draws their partner as a weird monster, using imagination
3rd: each S describes the monster they drew so that the partner can draw it
4th: compare the drawings and see the accuracy with which the monsters were drawn by the Ss
((Here, students worked with their ability to create new things, and also the ability to give and receive instructions; ability to work in groups))
Guessing whom the 3 things written are about
1st: create groups of 5 or 6, depending on the amount of Ss
2nd: make a circle
3rd: each student writes 3 things about themselves and scrambles the paper
4th: each S throws their paper in the middle of the circle
5th: one student takes one of the papers and reads the 3 things writeen, while the other students try to guess whose paper is that
*repeat the process until there are no papers*
((This helps students interact in a creative way, allows them to express things in written text, and get to know themselves better))
Memorizing objects
1st: divide the class in two
2nd: establish a topic, for example, sports
3rd: the first student says a word related to the topic (for example, football)
4th: the next student(s) need to remember and mention the previous word(s), and then mention theirs, until the end
((This exercise not only exercises memory, but also allows the S to learn new words))
